i’ve had a headache since monday (for those of you without a calendar handy, today’s saturday). that’s six days of torment, and it’s driving me crazy. it’s putting me in a worse mood than usual and just making me useless. i can’t concentrate on anything other than how freakin’ pissed off i am that i’ve had a headache for almost a week.
this is nothing new, but it doesn’t get better the more and more it happens. ugh.
tonight i worked the basketball game and kept thinking about the armed robberies that had been happening in the area. i was surrounded by shady scalpers all night, and they certainly weren’t helping my anxiety.
one guy pulled into my lot (which was reserved for members of the media) and parked along a curb. i walked to his car and said, "i’m sorry, sir, you can’t park here."
"i’m running late and meeting someone [blahblahblah]"
"this is for media only."
wife: "please [blahblahblah]."
"i’m sorry, ma’am, this isn’t even a parking space. my lot is full. you can’t park here."
at this point the guy driving pulls out a wad of cash. he holds up a bill and says, "a 50 says i can."
ok, it shouldn’t have happened, but ‘hood chels popped out. obviously i don’t have the mad ‘hood skillz of many, but let’s not mince words: i am a crazy bitch.
[hand in air for gesticulation] "uh, nothin’ says you can."
"oh, come one."
[jerk back, hand on hip] "are you kiddin’ me?"
i’m guessing this trick usually works for this d-bag because this is when he got upset. he yelled, "do i look like i’m kidding?"
"do i look like i’m kidding? i am doing my job, and if you stay here your car is gonna get towed."
this pissed me off because 1) he’s insulting my integrity and 2) he thinks is a lot of money to me. honey i couldn’t even get a guy to stick a needle in my face for . what am i gonna do with that?
so yeah, headache. d-bags, scalpers, armed robbers, and a headache.

Last night Squeakers would not stop tormenting Gizmo. Usually Squeakers is already asleep by the time I get in bed, but since I’ve packed most of her natural habitat I guess that’s thrown off her natural rhythms.
So last night while I was in bed reading, Squeakers took off after Gizmo. Suddenly I saw a flash of fur and felt the grip of claws as they tried to maintain traction while running across my scalp/face.
Once I recovered from the shock and pain (the scratches on my scalp are deeper and it hurt much more than the damage it caused), I shut Squeakers out of the bedroom. I hope I don’t have more of this behavior to deal with the rest of the week.

UNESCO has bestowed upon it as the "Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity".
In a poignant nutshell: The female lead falls in love with a guy literally while in her dreams. Intoxicated by her love sickness, she eventually wastes away and dies. Just like modern times, eh?

Two Bach chorales(each from the Passion according to St. John) played twice on electric guitar. The original pieces are in 4 parts, but this transcription is mostly reduced to 3. I play 4 parts where I can and try to keep the important harmonies where I can’t. The program is… “Durch dein Gefang’niss” “Wer hat dich so geschlagen” “Wer hat dich so geschlagen” con Wacky Auto Wah “Durch dein Gefang’niss” con Wacky Auto Wah The original text and melody for “Durch dein Gefang’niss” is attributed to JH Schein(1628 CE). The original text, “Mach’s mit mir, Gott, nach deiner Gut” is dropped for a setting of… Durch dein Gefang’niss, Gottes Sohn, ist uns die Freiheit kommen. Dein Kerker ist der Gnaden thron, die Freistatt aller Frommen; denn gingst du nicht die Knechtschaft ein, musst’ unsre Knechtschaft ewigsein. Translation… Your imprisonment, Son of God, brings us liberty; Your prison is a divine throne, the haven for the pious; if You had not accepted servitude, we would have remained in servitude forevermore. The hymn for Choral “Wer hat dich so geschlagen” is originally attributed to G. Forster(1539 CE) and P. Gerhardt(1648 CE), although I’m not sure who did the melody and who did the text.
